I am not so sure that the EC 2012 is not fixed. After all, it is just of matter of how much gambling money has been put into it. Looking at the Dutch team (who was second at the World Cup) the players has displayed a really overwhelming attitude of no-interest. I can easily imagine that if you are bribed it is simply a matter of losing three matches in a appropriate kind of disorganised way. Afterwards the lousy results were explained in the media as 'it was not a team', 'the ego's were too strong', etc. etc. Comes in handy this kind of excuses from football analists. The Asian gamble industry has certainly made a lot of money after Holland left the game.
